A FEED initiative established in 2019.

BEES SCHOOL OF BAKING OBJECTIVES

To offer a free baking course to the unemployed and unskilled ladies in the community. 

Teach them to bake and decorate confidently and earn can income from home.

The baker after completing this course, is self-employed and able to create employment which will benefit many people in their home, family and community.

WHY BAKING?

Baking from home provides a sustainable income with low overheads.

Low start up costs with easily acquired baking products. An oven and basic ingredients can transform a into an industrious business.

Many opportunities and occasions in their community to sell baked treats to family, neighbours, local shops, schools and community events.

Profits are easily drawn on a daily basis to sustain daily home expenses. 

A formal education is not required to learn how to bake. Our basic course will be sufficient to generate an income.

COURSE OUTCOMES

Theoretical and hands-on practical tutoring of baking.

Planning, preparation, hygiene and safety.

Costing, selling and budgeting.

How to market products in their communities.

Packing & presentation of baked treats.

Bake to sell - students bake and sell products.

From August 2021 to August 2022 we have trained:
61 five day course graduates
56 four week home bakers graduates
